A word of warning to everyone here, I went to summit the other day and bought a flowmaster muffler, 2.5" offset inlet, centered outlet, put it on, drove 3 minutes away from the shop i work at, and was SOOOO DISAPPOINTED that i immediately turned around and put it back to stock... it sounded like every honda civic on the road that has a fatty pipe on it. It was so awful i just couldn't stand it. I got on the freeway for a minute with it and it had that obnoxious hum to it and that was the deciding factor. I had listed to someone on heres sound byte of the magnaflow which sounded much better than my flowmaster, but wasn't the sounds i was quite going for either, so for now, until i see in person and hear in person exactly what i'm going for, i'm leaving it stock... I think i'm going to need headers to get the sounds i want, so i'll have to wait a lil while till someone comes out with them... Anyway, just wanted to let you all know unless you hear a flowmaster on a JK and actually like, not to bother finding out for yourself.

The results are in.. I’ll keep this as short and sweet as I can..
Test and configurations were made to my 2007 Jeep Wrangler 4D Rubicon..
1st. Dyno run
Bone Stock = 198.7hp / 231.3tq
First we installed a Magna Flow True Dual Exhaust system keeping the stock catalytic converts in place..
2nd. Dyno run
Dual Exhaust System = 212.3hp / 241.1tq
Then we removed the dual system and re-installed the 2 into 1 collector and just ran a single back to a Magna Flow 6” x 18” muffler and then straight back..
3rd. Dyno run
Single Exhaust System = 213.8hp / 246.8tq
Obviously the Single System yielded much better results.. That is what stayed on.. And let me tell you the Sound is awesome..
Now the easy stuff AEM Brute Force Intake System.. Very Clean install..
4th. Dyno run
Single Exhaust System with AEM intake = 220.1hp / 250.7tq
Last but not least.. We installed the Jet Performance Stage II chip.. My initial thought process on this one was I wasted my money.. But the Dyno tell the truth..
5th Dyno run
Single Exhaust with AEM intake and Jet Performance Stage II chip
Final Results = 231.9hp / 258.8tq
Overall Gains = 33.2 HP / 27.5 TQ
Maybe to some this was a big waste of time but what the heck free use of a dyno and some spare time and some great Manufacture support.. Take these results as you may..
I will work on getting some pictures up on the exhaust relocation and intake install…I will also work on getting the dyno slips posted up.. Thanks Jay

What kind of dyno was used? I have been modding cars/trucks for a long time and have never seen gains like that with just an intake and exhaust. Im not calling you out or anything but I must say it seems wierd. Usually the most accurate way to do it is do 3-4 pulls and take the average. Also was the temperature the same ect? outside and engine temp? In my experience the gains usually seen from intake and exhaust can be 10hp but are usually on the curve and not at the top of the chart. Maybe 3-4hp at the top. Then agian I have never modded jeep engines... Just curious.
Another note, Iv seen one car with the same mods dyno 5hp difference on back to back dynos and 30hp different on different days... without changing mods. So dynos should always be taken with a grain of salt. They are not as accurate as most people think.

Does one brand of muffler sound the same on all jk's ? Will one brand sound high pitched on one jk , and the same brand sound low pitched on another ?

I had a Jet Chip on my Tj. I got rid of it because it only works when you are drag racing.
Oh yeah, jeeps aren't for drag racing. They don't help on the trails. I have always been against them unless you tow something or drag race.
Other than that, intakes and exhausts sound great!
