did you have the hood open during dyno testing?I was just reading that with the hood open the dyno results for the air in take my be off.the reason is you get a lot more cold air in vs hood closed.

im sure it increased the efficiency at least a little, but ive never really seen it happen. please, correct me if im wrong. When my jeep comes in and i can gain even one mpg I would do it, not to mention exhuasts really bring out the beast in any vehicle. My buddy just got his exhaust from lou's custom exhaust up in the north east for his dodge ram, and boy does that hemi growl.

With almost every vehicle I've ever owned, I've been able to increase both the horsepower AND the MPG from simple bolt ons. Headers are one of the best for this, you can pick up significant improvements in both areas with most vehicles from economy cars to RVs.

I think I can answer the noise one. I have the exact same muffler on my JK only I decided to run it into true duals. Its a very deep throaty sound. It doesnt at all sound like a rice rocket import like i was afraid it was going to. Its nearly as loud as a flowmaster would be, but its signifigantly louder then the whisper quiet stock exhaust. It almost sounds like a V-8. Im very happy with it. There is also a noticable difference in the power. It will get a hard scratch in 2nd gear on pavement and almost scratch in 3rd with the stock tires. I know because i raced a guy in a mustang yesterday. lol hope that helps with the sound issue. I would definatly choose this muffler over a flowmaster for the sound difference. The flowmaster makes a v-6 sound high pitched and ratty. (but has slightly better numbers on a dyno)

I wonder if this setup would negatively effect the emissions. It will probably be a year before you need to know (when you get your inspection sticker) but
I would be interested to see if the emissions get better or worse with the increase horsepower/torque and fuel milage.

If you put it back on the dyno, it would be great to post the curve so we can see how it respond on the rpm curve. Maybe grab another stock one for comparaison purpose, I,='m sure there will be some volounteer. Very good mods, I was looking for a supercharger but with those littles mods, maybe it will be OK.
