To the people that cut there color matched Sahara fender, what did you use to cut the fender? I was thinking a drimel tool or an air grinder would work to keep from chipping the paint. So if someone could help me out before I go start cutting away.

Thanks

That's a great idea as I've been to busy to build a bracket, I may have to try that.

Be careful with anything that has too many RPM, you will actually melt the plastic. From lots of reading I hear that a Sawsall is the best. Im still waiting for my tires before I do Mine.

Yes sawzall worked the best for me but you need a person to hold the fender like in my video.

Good luck

Well I used a Dremel and it did pretty good, did end up with a huge blister on my arm where a piece of melted plastic landed. I still have the rear ones to do.

Alright I took the leap and did this mod today. Took about 1.5 hours for the chop itself with a Dremel. Took about another 1.5-2 to modify the fender support structures up front. I also modded the front wheel well liners so I wont worry about kicking up mud and whatnot into my engine compartment. I added some door trim and used some wheel well undercoat to spray the rear wells/tub.

Probably the nicest job of trimming the factory fenders I've seen. Great work...
