Default rear end swap!

Hi everyone, just the other day i was driving the the highway and blew the rear on my 2007 jk X. i found a new rear on jegs that is for a rubicon. However, i wanted to know if it was possible to swap between the two. the rubicon has 44 with 4.10 and i called my dealer and apperently my X also has a 44 with 4.10. Other than the e lock is anything different? and would it be a straight bolt in. Any info would help. Thanks guys !

Check into the spline count of the rear axle shafts. Rubicon's are bigger and have a higher count.

It would have been better to post this in the "Modified JK" section. The "Write Up" section is a guide on DIY projects mainly.

Rubicon and non rubicon share the same gears, but use different bearings. The carriers/shafts are different as well, rubicons are 32 spline, non rubicon are 30.
