Default How about cold

Hi all...

There's a lot of questions on heat but I'm up here in Montreal (Canada) where it can get pretty cold in the winter. I'm guessing if it gets hot in AZ it's going to get cold up here. Any thoughts?

BTW. Great forum, this is my first post but i've been reading non stop for the past month since I got my JKU.

Thanks.

i've been looking at doing this. i have a little 2 gallon shop compressor. I talked to my local line-x dealer and they wanted about 770 to spray the tub. The only thing is my bed rails are already done with linex i wonder if it would look odd side by side.

I talked to Camp Crocker and their guy may be able to do sound deadener and bedliner for an awesome price. good enough it would be worth the drive from Colorado.

I dont trust myself with paint like products

Thanks, Im kindof leary about paint mods because they can look like total crap if you mess them up.

I really think i'm going to do this. Does anyone know if you can spray this over some dynamat? to help heat off of the transmission tunnel?

I was at my mechanics yesterday. And was telling him that I was going to start sanding the jeep tub. And get rid of that sound proofing stuff. He was telling ne that I wouldn't have to sand. And just make sure the tub was clean. What you guys think? I wanna make sure I do it right.

I would atleast hit it with some steel wool or just a cheap sanding sponge.

I didn't sand mine down or anything. I tore everything out and washed the tub thats it. Didn't even remove the sound dampening material. Its hard as a rock so I wouldn't even bother sanding it. I made sure to mask everything off completely. covering dash and everything with garbage bags. I still ended up getting particles on the hood... you can't see them but you can feel the texture.
