Default 2nd Gen LoD Bumper

Eddie,

a couple of dumb questions. Just received my LoD bumper and tire carrier Gen 2. I've been trying to figure out how the rubber disk is suppose to be installed on the carrier, no instructions provided. Also there are 2 small right angle brackets I'm assuming they are hi lift jack supports?

I can probably help since Eddie's bumper was a prototype/first production and was re designed

the rubber disk goes on the rear gate to support the tire carrier from moving.

The two angled brackets go on the side of the carrier and they should have contact with the two bump stops also on the gate.

here is a pic of what i'm talking about

let me know if you need any extra help

hey does anyone know what sort of bulb the rear lights use? pics?
i was thinking of just putting in a red bulb or a red LED one so they can be used as rear fog lights, as they are needed to be road legal here in the uk.

X2 on the picture. I just got mine and was scratching my head. IMHO for such a good looking product LOD could have spent 10 minutes on directions.

WOL, thanks for the great writeup. I was reviewing the LOD instructions and came across yours as well.

One question I have is, how tight do we torque the different bolts down In the past I just go tight and leave it at that, but after working on the suspension, I am getting used to the idea of torquing down bolts to a specific amount.

Thanks for any additional guidance!

Default Bumper finishing install

Do you guys have any idea if the tire carrier Gen2 requires an extra piece of hardware to install a hi-lift jack?
I have an extra bracket too, what is this?
I cant get anyone at LOD to return my call or e-mails.

No other hardware is needed, besides the bolts/wingnuts to hold the HiLIft to the carrier. The HiLift is mounted along the top of the carrier, behind the top portion of the wheel. I had to take off my wheel to mount the HiLift.

I really don't know what that part that you have is for...
