Default KC rockguards painted

So I was browsing a 4wd magazine and saw the KC light Jeep and saw the yellow rockguard covers. That gave me the idea to paint mine to match my flame red Rubicon!

The KC signature Jeep:

And here's mine:

Just a simple mod to use the rest of that spray paint left over from the armycop A/C rings mod

So what did you use to black out the "KC" that was white?

Looks great....

Dude... You are brilliant... I never would have thought of using black paint!

That would be my guess... but I noticed that the "KC" was still white when it was masked in the picture. I guess the better question would be if it was hand painted or if it was sprayed before it was masked and I'm just seeing it wrong.

Yep, I spray painted it black at the end...and if I had thought to do it before the red coat, it would have been easier. (black paint not shown, tricky me!) My only dissatisfaction with the end result was around the edges of the guards. The paint kinda dripped and dried that way. I think I'll sand it and reapply some clear coat. Same thing happened with my A/C rings...painted too quick and used too much spray paint I suppose.
