Default inexpensive cargo liner

I went to Target tonight to buy some towels to put on the seats under my crumb crushers (kids) and I saw this inexpensive but super heavy duty floor mat for $29.00
It was in the door mat section for those of you interested. If your like me and hate those stores, you just want to get your business done when your in there and not mill around.
Anyway the rubber backing is really thick and I like the knobby look of the carpet on the top which might help keep things from sliding around. It is pretty easy to cut with a utility knife and but I chose to run mine up on the sides and then trim it

By the way who ever thought of putting black carpet in a jeep? Man that’s gonna be tough to keep clean.
here is the link to the pics.

That looks good, how hard was it to cut it to the right size and shape?

I hear ya on the carpet; 5 months in and mine is already trashed. Not really sure I want to linex it because of the heat and sound issues, so looking for another (affordable) solution. For $29 this is definitely worth a try.

Yeah man it was very easy to deal with because the only place I had to cut out for was around the Sub, the rear door latch, and on the angle near the wheel wells. I tucked it under the sub box so it looks sweet. You could also just cut it exactly the size of the floor and not run it up the sides. That black carpet it a magnet for dirt and lint.

I like the look.

I've been checking prices on vehicle carpet rolls. The cheapest I found was about $15. That carpet looks much heavier and better.

The front floor of my Jeep got mudded this past weekend. Our hunting grounds were a slimy mess. My boots weighed 40 pounds each after only a couple minutes in the field. All my dad's mud and my mud ended up on the floor mats. It's an uuuuggggly mess! On a positive note, the Jeep didn't hesitate across the freshly plowed, muddy field. (I think I jarred my dad's dentures loose when I crossed the rows.)

Hey Feijão de Socorro,
This is a great and inexpensive mod. I too have a few crumb crunchers (love the term) and they have already done a number on our '05 Pilot. Since that's my wife's car I don't mind so much, but will be devastated when they do it to my currently 'vaporware' Jeep

Tx again,

Fubeka, I thought at first the towels seemed cheesy but I wanted something easy to take out on clean days ( days I'm not landscaping). One of my friends has a 95 Chevy truck that still looks showroom new because of towels on the seats. I am open to the idea of seat covvers but only if they are easy to take on and off and are airbag compatible.

By the way I grew up being called a crumb crusher my self.

How did you get it to stick to the sides?
