I did the Mopar handle for the front. It matches the Chesapeake handles perfectly! And, it's embroidered with the "Jeep" logo...

Default This mod rules.

Bought the Mastercraft 3" for up front, and the cheapo "Kayak Handle" for the rear. Its so awesome that they match.

Thanks for posting this mod!

Put mine in today and had a simple little change that made it even easier. Take the stock bolt out and then take a piece of medium gage wire and wrap it tightly around the top of the bolt. Slide it of and then trim the end with wire cutter so you have a loop the size of the bolt. Bend the other end 90 degrees and leave 6-8" . Place the new handles on a flat surface. heat the loop to red hot and then brand your holes in the strap were you want them. No frayed edge and the perfect size.

Thanks for the initial mod. it is very simple and cool.

I know there are plenty of folks out there selling these things for a buck or two cheaper than CLC. CLC has been providing consistently good customer service to the folks on this board for awhile now. I'm also a kayaker, and they have a good reputation in that community too.

And no, I don't get a royalty from them for grab handle sales!
