I installed mine a few weeks ago and used a pencil soldering iron to burn the holes through the straps. This will seal the hole edges and prevent fraying. The holes were barely large enough for the screws to slide through. Much easier IMO than the grommet method. Very inexpensive upgrade and one of the best ideas on this forum.

Default just went to CLC

Check out the description of their handles now:

A perennial favorite, the Fancy Grab Handle is a comfortable alternative to the toggle or grab-loop style of carrying handle for kayaks. Fasten them to sheerclamps at the bow and stern, or anywhere else on the boat you want a sturdy grab handle. We find ourselves using them for other tasks where a good handle is needed: there are two on the dust collector bin for our cabinet saw, for example. Evidently these comfortable rubber-and-nylon handles are a plug-and-play fit on the new Jeep JK Wrangler.

Default New Rugged Ridge Stuff available now or nearly now.

By the way, Rugged Ridge is into this now too.
The straps can be had at vendors like Quadratec (I have seen them on their site specificaally with the grommets already installed, in black or red, see here);

they have a double one for the center too;

Other sponsors probably have them now too.

Oh Also. I was on Rugged Ridge's site. They have:

1. Headlights guards (Yes, i said headlight, not tail light);

2. mirror relocation brackets that dont look half bad, they look to mount to the lower two torx heads on the windsheild lowering plate just behind the cowl.

3. windshield pillar mount light brackets;

4. Radiator guards (The mesh inserts everyone has been doing)

5. Neoprene Grab Handle Covers

See the PDF here

Your welcome.

I was looking for pics to post, added a few, the rest are on their site and in the pdf.

I am sure the other vendors will have them as well, that was just the first place i found a definite.

the handles i think were 10-12 bucks total, plus the grommet tool and grommets if you chose to go that route, so $20 seemed fair for the whole works to me?

I don't see the purpose of the double handle for the middle. Maybe it is just me though.

Mmmm, headlight covers.

clc, grommets and 10 minutes to install. love 'em as do the kids. anyone done the ones that hook to the front seats? what do you think. my smaller kids may be able to reach those instead.
