How to remove water from your Jeep.

That may work if you live in a place like San Diego where it hardly ever rains, and when it does the forcast will call for definate rain, but in some areas of the country the weather changes so fast that even if the forcast calls for sunny skies there may be that freak downpour. In addition, the forcast for the majority of the year may be "undecided" in that there may be a "chance of showers" for many days in a row and if you take the stance you do, you would never run with the top off, or at best only do it for a few days a year which I believe most people would just take that chance anyways if they live in a place like that.

I live in NE Mississippi, I've had my hardtop off since end of March. We have sudden downpours here regularly. After the first rain (March it rained hard enough to fill the jack carpartment in the back) I yanked out the carpets, threw in 2 large trash bags, bungee cord my bikini top, rolled to the center speaker bar, and let it go at that rain or shine. I made some doors surrounds with some pvc pipe and pipe insulation. I love my JK in the open air, and don't let a little weather bother me.

Down here on the Gulf, we usually get those afternoon showers/t-storms. I accidently left my top down one day and had about 1 inch of water in the floor board. I took the carpet out and the plugs. I washed the carpet real good with the water hose. I let the carpet dry all day in the sun. The white stuff underneath the carpet took forever to dry, I guess it is some type of heat insulation. Make sure everything is good and dry..mold is not your friend.

My jeep is now all put back together as if nothing happened.

This may be a dumb question, but do you remove the plugs from inside or the bottom of the jeep?
I had a small swimming pool and (more embarrasing) it didnt occur to me to locate the plugs, so i scooped it out and dried it.. the rear storage hold under the flap is a beeyotch to get dry though :(
