the only way i see it leaking is fi you 1/2 @$$ bolting everything back together. if you do it right and take your time i see no problem. they are designed to fold and jeep advertises them folded.

Indeed. It won't make it leak.

Besides, my soft top already leaked before I drove off the stealership lot!

I wouldn't be able to do it because I can't be bothered to take off my windshiled mounted foglamps, but great write up

I love putting my windshield down even driving in the city. Once I take off the roll bar extensions in the summer I just leave them off and with my battery driven impact wrench it only takes 2 min when I feel like putting it down. I guess each to his own. It appears alot of people have a strong opinion about this. It's just a JEEP thing and I love it!

i would love to do it. but there are a few reasons I dont.

1. in Ohio you must have a windshield by law. It is a ticketable item with possible impound

2. I dont like how jeep curved the windshield so to me it looks like a "fishes mouth" when down. If it was flat, I wouldn't mind breaking the law.

It's funny, the different reactions people have to this. I thought it looked quite easy lol.

Note: I'm not trying to flame anybody, just thought it was interesting that a lot of people had very different reactions to this process =)

Not sure why that would be a problem, you would still have a winschield, just down...
