just got my daystar kit hood latches in yesterday, they work great...well up to 90mph there was not any "hood fluttering"...great fix for $25.00

Yep. I started with the Spring....took care of about 85% of the lift: so then did the Zip ties...and that sucker is down to STAY

Thats funny...I can't believe we spent good money for our Jeeps and have to use zip ties to keep our hoods down!
Did previous Jeep models have this problem?
Why hasn't jeep come up with a TSB?
Has anyone returned their vehicle to the dealer for this? If so what what did they say?

Only Jeep owners are this freaking tolerant.

has anyone actually had a problem with the hood smacking the windshield?? I'm just curious, I haven't heard of it happening yet. I don't really see how it could, it's got 2 straps and a big hook in the middle holding it down. Mine was lifting too, and I got a hood lock to make me feel better about it....just not sure if it's been a real issue yet or not.

This is the closest I've read about:

Hood Latch Broken!

If it happened to me, I wonder if the dealership would cover having my Wet Okole seat covers cleaned, because I definitely would poop my drawers!!!
