Default Hood Lift Fix that worked for me!

If you have ever had your hood lift with oncoming trucks or high winds this is the fix. Zip tied the latch with black heavy zip ties. I had to put two ties together to make them long enough. (Edit) I bought longer ties. Make sure the connection isn't in the way of the latch at the top. Latched the hood after threading them around the rubber strap and pulled them tight. Be sure to "Latch the hood" before you pull them tight. Still able to open the hood without changing anything. Pretty much invisible with a black tie. FIXED IT !!! If you have this problem you have to try this.

I had previously done the tubing behind the seal and removed the hood latch spring. With little results.

Or put your spare tire on the hood and pretend you're a land rover.

I did not see this on our forum. I did read about it on another forum but did not have a picture. Sometimes something very simple that doesn't need much response gets old and lost in old threads quickly. Just trying to help out the folks.

I did mention I already removed the spring and did the hose behind the seal with neither working well for me.

I like the Rugged Ridge hood lock and the price seems very fair. Thanks JK-KJ

I put the ends of the strap on the inside to hide them a little better, worked perfectly for me.
