Cool. I am going to give this go next weekend. We'll see how it does with bugs guts first and then ice next fall. Or ice next week. The weather has been kind of unpredictable up here lately. Great idea!

This hose in on the pass side of the engine. There will be two hoses there, one to supply the heater core as well as a return line. There is a big difference in the ammount of heat so make sure you get the supply side.

Great job! Thanks for saving me a ton of $$$
Which side is the supply side?

My guess would be the top hose. Use a thermometer and measure both to find the warmer one.

Tis the season! How many wraps did you guys do around each hose? I would rather not end up with scolding hot fluid

I just wrapped it around the upper rad hose, not the heater core hose.. BTW since I've done this not one issue at all.

Ah ok, well that is good to hear. Would you say you did 5-10 wraps to make sure enough heat got in? or just a couple
