Has anyone tried to install power and heated mirrors to a half-door equipped JKU?
I am considering this change. I never take my half doors off so I think this option is doable. Once I get my arctic edition headrests in (been on order for 14 weeks now), this will probably be my next project.
Thoughts?

Depending on how the mirrors mount, I can see this being fairly easy, provided you had heated mirrors prior to getting your half doors. I've never seen it done. You may be the first.

Thanks for the feedback.
The mirrors mount the same, but I currently do not have heated mirrors or power mirrors. I am not to worried about the electrical wiring for the heating element if I can find the timer/switch, just like the power mirror controller switch. If I can get those two items it should be as simple as wiring everything.
I just don't know if all the controls go through the central "brain" loom of the 2011/2012, or if they are seperate. If so, much easier.
I'm looking for switch pictures now, or I'll have to go to the dealer and take some photos to see how I'd set this up.

Ah, in that case, as long as you get all the wiring as the heating elements, I don't see you having much of a problem. I've never wired mine up, but you should have all the correct parts in the jeep already (switch locations and such)

Are you going with the stock jeep mirrors or some sort of aftermarket?
I have been considering moding to some type of extendable tow mirror from another OEM. This brings up the question of doing the electronics.
