This is my first mod and first post. Thanks to all for the prior posts and great directions! After being on here for almost a year I finally did something!
Went with the painted sheet metal/zip tie method and really happy with it.
Installed a couple months ago, holding up great!

Nice first post, looks real good. You used about 12 more hold downs than I did,
but than I didn't use metal.

Here is mine. I just went with steel, hopefully it won't rust - but hey, most of the stuff on the Wrangler is steel anyways so maybe it will just match the rust elsewhere. I didn't use any clips, just bent the steel so that it would fit in there with pressure. Sorry, no pictures of the process.

Great mod. Pretty cheap, mine was 21.99, and not too hard. Thanks for the ideas guys.

Smile ... and yet another one

Used expanded aluminum off a pet door from Lowes, which came already painted black.
Awesome & easy mod

Was it a pain to get off the grill?

The first time it might take 10 mins. tops. I have had mine off many times now, and it takes maybe 5 mins. if that. Just do a search, it's easy to find how it's done.

Default removing grill

I just did mine for the frist time yesterday. Pretty simple. Just remember that the plastic "screws" are not really screws. Some of them screwed up a bit and some didn't. They really just act as an expander. Get them to come up a bit and pull them (the whole assembly) out with your fingers. You may have to use a small flat head screwdriver to pop them up. Pretty easy.

Yeah, good point. When I did my bumper I tried using a phillips screw driver and they don't "screw" out. Better to try to "pop" them out with a flat head!!!! I am heading to Lowe's today to get the materials. I saw this in my newest 4x4 parts catalog for $190 They must be crazy
