Thank you very much!
I don't think that you kept photos from the installation of the inner side, but if you do have these pics (or someone else has) could you please share? I'd like to see how it should be installed from the other side.

Cheers

this damn mod... My thumb is KILLING me today from rubbing the adhesive off of the backs of those squares. I was using a razor blade but it would only take off so much. I tried soaking them for awhile but that didn't really do much. I finally got all of the adhesive off and glued to the inside of the grill. About that time it was 11:30 and I had to work today so I called it quits. Being my daily driver, I then had to go put the Jeep back together. It wasn't a breeze taking the grill of because I have a winch which wouldn't allow me unclip the bottom clips. I had to pull eight bolts from my bumper to slide it off just enough to get the grill off. I'm going to finish the project tonight, that is if the glue sat well. My bumper is being held on by two bolts today instead of eight so I hope no one decides to stop short on the roads.

I just left a slight gap in the center grille vent. I tossed around doing something but just left it as is.

Oh, Goo Gone extreme takes the adhesive off with about 1 minute of soaking.

I used the plastic gutter guard from lowes as well. Pretty cool mod for $15!

Thanks ponpeta for the idea. Turned out great!

Got mine done. I went to both Lowes and HD and couldn't find the plastic gutter mesh. :( So I used the metal stuff and painted it. It was a pain cutting it up--I highly recommend if using metal get the huge piece!

Went with lowes gutter guard. It came in a 8 inch roll though instead of a big sheet so I had to cut it in to 7 pieces. I think it came out pretty good for only spending 18 bucks for everything.

Default Metal

I am having a tough time with this. The damn plastic squares pop off here and there and send me into a rage! I would assume the plastic stuff is easier since it doesn't have as much pressure on the squares, but the metal looks so good! Anyone else have this issue? I've used Superglue and Gorilla Glue but it doesn't seem to matter. I too cut seven pieces and went (sqaures) three up and down and one on the tops. I'm about to attempt maybe three horizontal pieces and see if I can get them to stay that way.

I don't think I have read here yet someone that hs not complained about the squares staying put they all pop off some time or another. I have been waiting for someone to come up with the best format so I too can do this mod. I would go into a rage if I paid for the oem grille but even worst of a rage if this mod left me with the grille kinda hangin cuz these stupid little squares won't stay put.

Somewhere in this thread someone suggested peeling off the sticky part on the anchors first then use super glue. Someone even said something about how to get it off rather than just using your fingers. Im to lazy to go back and find it though haha. Use more of the anchors than you think. They dont need to be in a perfect pattern either. Its not like you can see them.
