Mesh, Cable tie holds and gorilla glue! Sadly, I couldn't find any color match paint to for my PGJ color. I really wanted to paint the mesh green!! Oh well, it'll be easy to break apart in the future and paint it. The mesh is kinda hard to see in the pic, actually.. sorry
I've seen lots of complaints about the sticky pads failing after a while, so I was proactive and used gorilla glue... which is some gnarly shit, by the way! Went ahead and belined the grill and hella covers while I was at it!!

Interesting. To keep it on the subject, what prompted you to go with "Drake Billet Aluminum Grille Inserts" on your '13 as oppose to "I myself did the EXACT same mod, on my '07 grille" (i.e. plastic mesh and glue)? Do you think people deserve to know limitations of certain approach ahead of time? Can you share or point us to a post where you might had discussed the differences?
As for skill, I think using stickies and glue requires considerably more patience and precision, i.e. skill. than threading four nuts. You clearly misunderstood my comment as it has nothing to do with a reference to a girls craft project. It had to do with longevity of setup and its durability.

First time I did the grill I used mesh, and painted it green. Was a fairly close match.
