Well guys who have just used the zip ties squares say they are coming off...... Just try and get the best glue/adhesive out there for plastic. So they stick properly and will last.... hopefully

I did mine about 4 months ago, and from all the road stuff and wind has made many of my inner ones fail.

I need to go back through and take off the sticky and glue down properly.

I would suggest glueing them down properly in the beginning.

I removed the sticky adhesive as many have mentioned. I also used the gel type glue, but I'd comment that you need to use more then a dab in each corner. Several of the tabs came loose when I attached the zip ties, so I had some heavier glue adhesive and that fixed the issue (but took longer to dry).

Yeah I actualy used and epoxy type glue for plastic/pvc in behind and dropped gorilla glue on top also and let sit over night... with the zip ties already inserted(had to wiggle some loose the next day because of the glue bleeding but no biggie). Better then trying to feed all the zip ties thru after with glue clogging the holes. Looked a little messy but no one sees that side and I'm more worried about them not coming lose.

Getting ready to do this, what's a good way to remove adhesive without dremel?

Default my grille mod

I vinyl wrapped my grille and did the DIY grille mod. I cleaned the grille with a non detergent grease and wax remover. Laid the vinyl out and worked the flat areas first. Then were there was a wrinkle I just lifted the vinyl and started from that area. Then with heat i pulled the vinyl over the edges. Then with heat formed the grille slots, then I cut out the slots. i did the same for the head light and signal light holes. I took the sticky backs off of the mounting bases. Then I sanded the bases and the grille where I was going to place the Bases. I used 60 sec. epoxy. Then I cut the Gutter guard to size and Zip tied them down. Easy and looks good.
