Grill Mod

Last Night
I did this last night. I went to Lowe's, bought 3 packs of 1"x1" zip tie hold sticky things, a pack of 100 black 4" zip ties, Gorilla Glue, and Premium Hinged Gutter Gaurd (Pack of 5, used 2.5).
I took off grill, cleaned the back of it, took it inside and got to work. I laid out all my squares first, then started peeling off the backing of each square and placed a dot of Gorilla Glue on each one as I laid them down.
I let it set for a few hours as I got called into work, losing all the black plastic rivets that I placed on the engine for safe keeping, then started cutting my gutter gaurds to 14".
I laid down the middle section first, then next ones overlapping, using the zip ties to hold down the gaurds.
Items I used:
Before
After

Some advice: I used block zip tie blocks BUT i peeled off the sticky piece on the bottom and used gorilla glue instead. The first time I did this with just the sticky bottom peice it came off, talk about a PITA... however after re-doing it with the gorilla glue its held up great

Done a couple months back using all the instructions here for reference.
I used a stainless material which follows along the same idea as everyone else its just a harder product to get yor hands on (for free).. I like the idea of it never rusting or getting brittle from road salt.

I fastened it to the cross member in front of the radiator with aircraft fasterners (clecos) in three spots. You don't have to remove the grill to install, just pull it forward from the top and cleco it in, then push the grill back into position and pop in the six plastic fasteners. Done!

Did Mine Today
So I saw this thread yesterday and went to Home Depot after work today to do this to my grille. I had the Rugged Ridge black grill inserts but I got tired of the look and when I saw this thread I was like yes $40 compared to buying one for $200...I'm in.
I bought metal gutter filter, Plasti-Dip spray paint, black zip ties & blocks. I also used alcohol & sand paper on the places I would put the block adhesive at. After I attached the blocks I glued the edges with a hot glue gun for better stick.
I love the look and the fact that my radiator is better protected. Also, it cost me $42 including buying wire cutters.
Pics below of before and after.

Ludski, idk if you used the block zip ties... but if you did peel off the bottom glue piece and use gorilla glue its really strong. I used the original sticky and it came off so quickly. gorilla glue is REALLY strong and you shouldn't have to do it for a while
