Default drilled mirrors

I remember reading some where, that a jeep isn't your's until you drill the first hole in it.

today I made my 2013 officially mine.

I just drilled my '12 JKU. No water. Oh well now I don't have to worry about it.

I could not wait, my XJ was falling apart and needed something new and love the JK. It is worth the problems of a first year vehichle in my opinion. Why wait? you only live once...life is not worth waiting for...
Looks like 7 years and still not fixed.

Here's my 2014.

Would this problem of holding water cause water to leak around the inside door handle. I think it would because of the gasket leaking

Damn it! Was pretty psyched to drill into my 14, and I spent the extra 20 seconds to take off the mirrors.....and.....someone had put gaskets with notches in there!! I intend to write a pretty intense e-mail to someone..saying I was cheated...!!!

Did mine today in my 11. Just need to find a way to get rid of the old water marks that run down the side, anyone got ideas on how to remove them?

I love this mod!

Today I drilled the mirrors with a 5/64 drill at a 45 degree upward angle. I took off the mirrors to be on the safe side, but you don't really have to if you are careful. Don't push too hard, it is plastic!

No water came out, but I attacked it with the garden hose to check and that resulted in a nice steady stream on both sides :-)
