Does it really do any harm if the bit goes through the gasket? I used a 3/32 bit and tested it with a cup of water on each mirror, moved a lot of water out. Just paranoid I guess

Can you use a soldiering iron to poke a hole instead of drill? It might be more forgiving on the paint. How about a nail heated red hot?

Just drillnit, soldering iron could work, red hot nail sounds dangerous! You wouldn't even touch the paint if you don't push hard and let the drill do its thing.....

Washed mine today and drilled the holes....the water flowed right out! THANKS!!!
