I haven't noticed this ever happening on my '09. In fact, I washed my Jeep yesterday, then less than an hour later removed the mirrors (because I was removing the doors and needed to transfer the mirrors to my brackets), and there was no water at all. Completely dry.

Default Great Fix!

I just read this post, and after reading all of the positive responses, I had to run out and drill a few holes. Luckily, I didn't have any green water coming out, but I'm glad that I've got the solution BEFORE the problem arises!

Drilled my 2010 today. It took more time to tighten the drill bit in the chock than to complete the mod.

Too easy.

Did my '07 today, and no water came out

I guess the heat wave dried it all up

I will have to check it out when I hit it with the hose next

Thanks for the tip

I got white stuff draining out, i think it is from the salt in the winter. when i took off my mirror bracket, the salt was all inside the doors- weird

Just done my 07. If there's anywhere in the world you'd need this mod it must be England. Took the mirrors off and everything was like new inside with no gunge but those ruddy streaks after a wash and polish were doing my head in big time. Thanks guys!
