Drilled the side view mirrors!

I washed my Jeep today for the second time. The mirrors drip water for days and leave spots all over the side of the jeep. I read a thread about drilling a weep hole so I gave it a whirl. The first mirror I removed and tried doing the v-cut in the gasket like the thread said. (too much hassel) I ended up drilling a tiny hole underneath where the flat part of the mirror meets the round part (just above the gasket seal inside) and put it back on. I went to the other side and decided to just drill and not remove the mirror. My mirror was pissing like a race horse! Good quick fix!

i think i really need to throw this out here now.
i've been thinking about drilling my mirrors... except....... the unit itself is COMPLETELY sealed: the mirror is attached to this hinge-thing but the inside is sealed off completely. i even used a hose and sprayed to see if there was something i couldn't see, nothing.
i dunno, i guess my mirror is completely different then everyone else's. i don't want to drill it because of getting water inside!
oh yeah, and i would take a picture, however i can't get it in that little crevace and the flash won't illimunate well enough to show everyone.
