I built one of these last year, painted it black, and covered it with black auto carpet. It's the best cheap way to store a top that I've ever seen. Great thread.

BAMMM awesome write up. Took about 40 min. Tweaked it a bit for the glass. Works awesome

Is it ok to have the 4DR top just standing up in the air without any type of support? Especially in warm weather.

Prob will be building mine in the next couple weeks.. It will be sitting in my dining room since I live in an Apartment complex and have no where else to put it..

Riptyd - nice write up. just finished making my frame and will be transporting to my warehouse (work) to store my hard top on it. i have a little foam rubber with adhesive back so i'll be using that to cover the 'hit points'.
