Can someone please post the measurement of the upright surface..
The horizontal looks like 7"wide, but it's hard to tell how tall it is vertically.
Please post the measurements.. THANKS!!

I haven't had as good of luck installing this Daystar dash panel as others, apparently.
Got it this week from Quadratec because the original panel was loose. Noticed the cause was not just the fact that one of the dash clips was missing, but that the previous owner of my '07 Rubi had removed this thing so often, the opening sizes were increased, so clips don't seem to hold it.
Anyway, used the single clip that was left on the new Daystar panel, remounted the compass, and tried to install. Got a lot of interference from the front compartment on the underneath of the dash panel, and the front of the dash edge. So much so that I thought I was going to crush the compass trying to push the rear (front) clips into the dash. Gave up and figured I probably needed new clips...
Any thoughts aside from new clips? Perhaps I mounted the compass backwards, and that was the interference issue? Is it even possible to mount it backwards?
Thanks, man.

Here are the measurements that have been asked for
The front flat is 5 1/2 x 2, the rear flat is 8 1/4 x 1 7/8, the vertical is 8 1/4 x 1 13/16.
Just happened to have mine laying here not installed yet and with my broken foot there isn't much else to do so glad help out.

Bought the materials over a year ago to do this mod to my daystar. Had some time today, and completed it. Have so much material left over, continued cutting up two more sets for a couple of co-workers who own JK's with the daystar dash panel.
I had the cordless close by, so slapped a drill bit in it, and ran a black bunjee cord that I had lying around. Not bad for a few minutes of prep!

Please don't take offense to this, but I made another thread with this mod, with a more complete write-up, I thought it might help...
