does the air compressor have to be on to use the air lockers?

Yes, the lockers require a compressed air source to stay engaged.

Some people hook them up to a high-pressure CO2 tank (Powertank) through a regulator, but that's pretty rare.

k thnx. id never heard of airlockers before reading this thread, and tried looking up info, but most topics about it were just selling, not what they were. this is definately something i want to do, but i'm going to have almost double the switches, because i plan on getting 2 winches (one foro the front bumper, one for the rear), and alot more lights. i will definately ask you to make me a sticker for it though.

FYI everyone, the box that this thread originally started with is produced by LMB Heeger and can be found and purchased on their site. It is model CR#852. I'm working on mine now!

You can order almost any of these or something very similar from the 12 volt guy here is the one he custom made for me.
