Thanks for the feedback guys and congrats to all who have done this and posted pics up, they look great!
Keep the pics coming!!!
My Hi lift does not rattle at all in this config. I did end up mounting a shovel and an axe to the high lift using quick fist clamps, let me know what you think, I'll do another write up when I get off of vacation. The shovel rattles, but I put a small rag between it and the roof and its silent.

Great write up and well done installation. Now that you know it all fits together and looks cool, for me I'd be tempted to spend another 12 to 15 dollars and change out those u-bolts for stainless steel ones. They're more resistant to wear and tear due to vibration and surface contact rubbing.
That's a lot of metal and an axe sitting up high and to the rear of heads.
Wouldn't personally want to find the weak spot in the case of a front end collision.

Awesome. Just a tip for people looking to do this....instead of using a lighter like the op for a controlled burn, use a lit cigarette. It will allow you to burn a perfect hole without a chance of torching more than you need!
If you don't smoke, buy a pack for $8, use 1, sell 19 for $1, profit!
