Default Tires and wheels

So I'm looking to upgrade my wheel situation. I am currently running stock 17s with 33 and 1.5 spacers. I want to go 35s or possibly 37s. I was curious should I go smaller rim, would that limit me any way?

Rim size really doesn't have an impact, mostly aesthetic. Im not a big fan of the 20s+ on the jk but if thats what you're in to go for it. Also worth mentioning bigger rim equals more expensive rim and tire. I have XD 17s with 35s and i like the look.

Tires for 15"/16" rims may be a bit cheaper. Moving up to larger tires, there is generally a better selection for 17".

15" rims can have contact issues with the calipers. Both 15"/16" may have problems with some upgraded steering components or brake kits.

The smaller sizes can work fine, (depending on setup), but 17" is probably the better choice.

I would stay with 17" rims and not go 15" rims because when your wheeling you dont want to bust a bead (more side wall not good). I run the 37" Nitto Mud grapplers and love them. There way noisy but look bad ass. And picking the rim backspacing I would stay around 3.75" to 3.5" of backspacing if your wanting to clear your 37's.
