Default Tire pressure

hello all,I just put LT275/65R18 Ironman all country M/T tire on my JKU with stock Sahara wheels.side wall show 80psi.i put 60psi in but still think that’s high.anyone have any. Advise? And by the way stock suspension no lift and no rubbing at all.

Yeah, 60 psi is WAY too much. That must be a tire with a load rating of 'E'?

Use a chalk test. This video is corny, but it does a good job of describing how to do it.

Holy Moly! Never had 31s, but would think you're looking more in the 32-34 range. There's no exact science for these things.....and there are tradeoffs galore. You just have to pick what you're comfortable with. Mix between ride comfort/wear and fuel economy usually. Maybe some others with similar tire will chime in with what they run....but again, it's all subjective. Definitely NOT 60.....or 80!

Yep... why I think it's a load range E tire... like what I use on my 2500HD... which tows 12,000 lbs... with tires that are 75psi in the back and 60psi in the front... ONLY time I've seen pressures like that are in trucks that actually tow.
