Aluminum wheels are made thicker for strength, which make the inner rim smaller; too small for clearance.
You don't have to run steel for 15's: but not all aluminum 15's will fit. I'm running MB72's though they are now discontinued.

Anyone have any issues running 35s on a 2013 JKU Sport S? I have heard mixed reviews in town about needing to re-gear and that the 3.21 can't push 35s. Any advice?

Regear. I'm running 3.73 and I'm sluggish as hell. And I have superchips and intake. I can only imagine with 3.21.

Regear if you have the funds, if not go ahead but plan on saving your pennies for a regear as next mod. Around town (anything under 60) its not too bad if you use a procal or equivalent to set shift points. Anything at freeway speeds will drive you nuts quick. The trail will depend on the terrain, its fine where i am being flat but could see it being an issue crawling or going up steep climbs.
