I am new to the JK. I am curious as to why almost everyone is running a 8" wide wheel? When I ran 33x12.50 on my YJ, I mounted them on a 10" wheel. I thought the tires "looked" wider......

its really purely preference and wheel companies(to my knowledge) have just recently picked up the pace on jk wheels offered so choices have been pretty limited in a 5x5....i'm running 17x9's on mine and i too like the way the tires sit on the wheel better than an 8in. wide wheel....just my outlook on it

Wheels/Tires really do make the Jeep. I don't recall ever having anyone say, "Hey, nice Jeep!". Just in the past week, 2-3 people have said something along those lines.
