I think it really depends on the tire. The more aggressive it is, the bigger they seem to appear. I find that these 33s look a lot bigger than the 33s I had on my old JK. I haven't measured these (or the other ones) to see how big they really are. But these ones are a wide tire (13.5) that's been stuffed onto the stock rim.

07 with a 2.5" BB, 33x12.5x17 and 1.5" wheel spacers.

So I have a set of 33s at 10.5 wide, they don't look this big at all. They come up just a hair over the bottom of my break light which is a noticeable bit over the OEM 32s on my other one, they just don't look it.

Pro Comp 7005 wheels, Federal Couragia MT's (285/70-17) and the Teraflex Leveling kit (2" front and 1" rear)
