• You don't need to regear.
• I went from 29's to 33's. My speedo was off by 3-5 mph. I had the dealer zap the computer for 32's (The Rubicon rides on 32's, that's the highest number the computer recognizes) and it's almost perfect.

I'm running 33's (285/70R17) on my 08' Rubicon and I've seen a 1.2 mpg drop in mileage from the stock 32's. (Yeah, yeah...I know...down to the tenth's of a mile is a little anul, but I track for business tax deduction purposes ).

2" Skyjacker spacer lift w/ Skyjacker nitro shocks, 33" Mickey Thompson ATZs on 17" Keystone Soft 8s, KC 6" 130W Long range on windshield mounts and PIAA 510s on a Pro-Comp light bar mounted on the front bumper, TruFlow CAI, Tail Light Guards, Alpine Type S's in the roll bar, Alpine M450 under the passenger seat with a JL W6 ProWedge in the trunk, and WeatherTech floor liners and wind deflectors, and Skyjacker grab handles..
