And my neighbors know where I live, too. But when I discuss firearm ownership and other things that go on in my house, I prefer to do so with my anonymity in tact.

Right but how many license plates and numbers do you actually pay attention to when you drive? Identity theft and fraud are more prevalent on the interwebs. I do the same thing with my photos.

Plus if you piss someone off on the internet and they want to get back at you... Your license plate is attached to you name and address. Where there is a will... there is a way... its not hard to find out whose behind a license plate with technology nowadays.

Yep, while there's nothing illegal going on in my home, I'd rather not open my doors to the world. It can be risky enough posting online, which I already do every day, but I'd prefer to be known here as some random immature dude in a white Jeep from Oklahoma.

Not that I'm opposed to local meet-ups and trail drives.

So you post that you are going to Moab for EJS, someone has your plates and finds your address. Get home from a great time and... WHAM! House broken into and you've been ripped off. Not worth the chance of that happening.

At least they didn't get the jeep. I wasn't being a jerk about the question. Just curious is all. Lets get back to some 33"s.

My Jeep's interior is lined with aluminum foil, so I'm safe.

That's a risk I run when combining my actual identity with my online identity. However, with only being identified as Terry Hesticles at this point, I won't make it easy and just hand over my personal information. It's more than just JK Forum members who can see this.
