Gas mileage is about 15.9 and thats around town driving. And as far as sluggish, the new 3.6 will smoke the 33's.

Playin around last summer. Doesn't look like the front end is too high (and it's not extreme) but to give you an idea, I am 6'1".

Is there much of a drop in performance in pre 2012 JK's with 33s?
I have a Rubicon, and I want 33's. It'll suck if the Jeep drives like a horse cart afterwards

Nah. I don't feel much of a difference and mines a sport. If you go to 35s it'll be a different story

As you know the 3.8 is a bit gutless to begin with, I did notice a little dip in performance with 33's with my technical butt-in-seat performance tests which I am not happy with but if I had to could live with. I did recently put in an order for cold air intake, throttle body spacer, exhaust, and tuner hoping to regain some performance, I hear good things just hope it's not over-hyped and under-produced.

When I went to 33's, the only thing I noticed was a drop in MPG, I am a minority and I really don't have any problems with the power of the motor. Works great for me around town and on highway. My 33's are almost double the weight of the stock SRA's so that helps with the decrease in MPG plus the size and the the tread. I drive a lot of city and have driven on the 33's to Indianapolis and back, which was over 1,000 miles. No problems at 75mph. I have 3.73 or 3.71 gears (never can remember which it is)

I agree on highway just cruisin' @ 75mph (right like any of us drive the speed limit) with 33's it runs fine, throw a strong head wind and/or trying to pass in the mix and that's where I see the most decline in "power", just doesn't have that get-up-and-go I'd like to have. Again, just my "technical" butt-in-seat experience.
