Thanks! I am loving it so far. The tires are amazing in the snow/ice.

Default My New Shoes!

Finally pulled the trigger on new tires this week!
305/65/17 BFG A/T KO's on stock wheels, Teraflex leveling kit, Spidertrax 1.5" wheel spacers....
I really like the extra width of the 305's over 285's...the height is about the same.

Well I've spent a couple hours combing through this thread and not found the combo I'm looking for.
So a couple questions.
1. Well cbeas's is the closest to what I'm looking and I think it looks perfect, but does anyone have this combo with the Bushwhacker flat fenders. This is what I'm planning for mine...
2. Has anyone changed gears or feel you need to? Been told by "sales people" that I'd be much happier going with 4.88 gears and a rear locker. I figure this is the best group to ask since yawl are running the 33's.

Wanted to do 2.5" lift and 35's but this is my dd and with gas going the way it is don't want the extra expense, or really feel the need, I get everywhere I want with my stock rig for the most part... Had one sales guy telling me that gearing my jeep would actually help with gas milage??? He was saying better power for stopping and starting around town less gas usage and negligible difference on the hwy. Any input? I've got the 3.73's with the auto and am running the BFG MT 255/75R17's and get a lot of up and down shifting going up into the mountains and have to drop into low/lock when climbing off road way before I think I should have to.

Any input would be great, thanks.

Thanks for the compliment! I have an auto & 3.73's also & I don't feel the need to regear with this setup but I'm in Birmingham, AL. We have a lot of hills but nothing like the mountains you're dealing with in Colorado. Your terrain may cause more of a need for it. I'll defer to those in more mountainous areas to help you out there.

Normally, I can't handle chrome rims on a Jeep, but they look really great with the green paint & that set up.

You're welcome...
I'm actually thinking about putting the 1.5" spacers on my stock wheel and tire set up, I don't care for the way the wheels are tucked in under the fenders. It'll be harder to keep her clean but then again it is a jeep...
