I agree. This isn't a serious off-roading rig. This is a vehicle for the normal guy, who can't afford to have 2 vehicles, but wants more than an average car. It isn't a freaking subaru.

Really? Someone should have said so and we would have stayed home. 40 years ago we were doing some pretty serious trails with little more than a stock CJ5... Maybe we were too young and stupid to know any better.

Well it looks like I cant wheel now.. My tires are WAY to small.

Tell you what big guy. You buy the lift, drive shafts, control arms, and all the other shit I need to properly run 35's (including the tires) and I will gladly give up my "small" tires.

And if thats how you really feel, shouldnt you be hanging out over in the 37's thread?

I wheeled with the big boys with a cherokee on 33" TSLs and open diffs. It's all the driver. A 35 is only 2 inches bigger than a 33. If you were comparing 33s to 40s, then it would be a viable point.

Remember, all of our Jeeps are trail rated and are much more capable than 99% of the other vehicles out there. Even a stock VW Toureg passed through a rated 6 trail on Hell's Revenge in Moab. Look at this video of a stockish Wrangler with 31s making it up a rated 4 trail "Hell's Gate".

To each his own. I know that Mark Doiron here on this forum has wheeled his rig HARD with 33s and kept up with the big boys. Props to him for showing 33s are good enough! https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...Moab-2010-Trip
