Thanks for the input and recommendations about A/T vs M/T tires as well. I'm used the the road noise and decreased on road performance of M/T tires. I like the extra off-road traction and aggressive looks. So, I'm willing to make the compromise on them. My current tires don't even have any siping and I figure any new tire would be a little better in rain.
Also, good point about the weight - it looks like the Firestone's are lightest at around 49lbs, Coopers are 50lbs and BFGs are 55lbs. So, I think I will eliminate the BFGs and just go between the Firestone's and Coopers

I recommend taking a look at the Cooper S/T MAXX in 265-70R/17.
They should be the same height as the 255-75R/17's so no computer reprogramming required.
They are fairly aggressive looking.
They are surprisingly quiet for an aggressive looking tire.
The ride is not bad for a 10 ply tire at 35 psi.
Overall performance is good in pretty much all conditions.
Unless you really abuse them, they should go 45K + on a 5 tire rotation if you keep them rotated about every 5K.
They also say Made in the USA on them. Something not on very many tires today.
