Question 295/70-17 on stock wheels??

Just confirming that the 295/70R17's will fit on OEM 17" Ruby wheels (I think they are 7.5" wide wheels).

I'm getting mixed opinions from friends and tire shops...

(BTW, I did a quick search of the forum, but my seek-fu wasn't working well today...)

yes they will fit fine. I have run Cooper ST Maxx's in 295/70-17 on stock recon wheels. You will however want to use 1.5" spidertrax spacers or similar quality spacer.

Cooper and probably everyone else recommends 7.5 - 10 wide wheels for 295/70-17

Outstanding!
I'm running 1.5" wheel spacers, with no lift (Sahara suspension with adjustable Ranchos)

I've always had a hard time with balancing/feathering of tires, so I think I'm going to try the ceramic beads with this new set of tires...

If you've got feathering issues then that's usually alignment. Guys who run the balancing beads usually switch back to conventional balances unless they run 40's on beadlocks in which case most places won't touch them for size or beadlocks.

Currently on a 315 70 17 without issue on stock Rubi wheels. I've run 35 12.50 17's from day one without any issue whatsoever. The only thing I added was wheel spacers to help eliminate rubbing issues.
90 mph on highway or doing the Rubicon Trail. Not a problem.
