What to do about scratches on paint and hardtop
So I finally got to go out mudding and down some hills and trails. Probably down a few meant for ATVs and not a jeep, but hey it fit. I'm curious as to how I should look at the scratches I put on the sides of the body and hardtop. Should I leave them as a badge of honor? Is there a way to fix them up without going to a body shop? Any ideas? I mean, I know it is a 2013 and all but I did buy it to go playin. Thoughts?

Thanks
Well, I'll be darned. I told my wife I should just use a marker on the hardtop earlier today. LOL. I will try the Scratch off and see how well it works. I've wanted a Jeep since I was kid and now that I'm almost 38 I have one and it makes me feel like a kid again. My wife and I had so much fun and plan on doing it a lot more this summer.
Thanks so much for your responses. Keep 'em coming if you don't mind.

Best thing to do about scratches... take it out and go get some more!
I know the feeling though, I don't mind new pin stripes, but a couple of weekends back we hit a trail that we have since named "The Paint Remover"; the sound of all those branches is still resonating in the back of my mind.

I pin stripe the crap out of my Jeeps and then buff them out when it's time to sell. If you really want to be able to fix scratches rather than just cover them up temporarily, you'll need to invest in a rotary polisher and learn how to use it. An alternative is to use a D/A machine and what's called the "Kevin Brown" method. It works nearly as well and you don't risk burning paint or lifting clear coat.

On the hardtop, the white chips are annoying; different in my mind compared to "desert pinstriping" on the paint.
The black sharpie works pretty well, but when I had lots of dings in my drivers side Freedom Panel, I painted it using Rustoleum black satin finish.
The color is spot-on, but it has a bit more gloss than the factory finish. Haven't tried, but I suspect their flat black would be too "flat". All-in-all, this paint is really close and another solution to consider.
