VIDEO - Kane Creek Trail / Project-JK Moab EJS 2008 - Day 3 Sunset Run
This latest Project-JK Moab Easter Jeep Safari 2008 YouTube video is of a sunset run that we did up the Kane Creek on Day 3 and is in fact the second run we did that day. Earlier in the day, we attended the Superior Axle and Full Traction Suspension - The Rock V event which was held over at Area BFE and did a run up Green Day. But, being that the last video of Steel Bender was on the long side and of a harder trail, we felt that it would be nice to mix things up a bit and put this easier and more scenic run in between the two.
In addition to our normal SoCal crew, Jason (SDMF), Jen (toad), Jeff (Bullfrog), Cindy (WOLette) and I, we were able to pick up a few more people that we met in Moab who wanted to join us including Wayne, his wife Kathy and son Aaron as well as Brian (Bracket) and his wife Lauren. As mentioned, Kane Creek is for the most part an easy and very beautiful trail but there are times when the creek, which you have to cross numerous times, can be deep enough to be impassable. I should also note that there are also a few rocky ledges situated on a high shelf road towards the end of the trail that can be a lot of fun for a modified JK to play on but might be quite difficult for a stock Jeep to negotiate if not impossible without some assistance. And, perhaps it’s for these reasons that this trail gets a ‘difficult’ rating.

Well I'm glad you feel that way because I really do think that one of the best parts of going to a place like Moab is that you do get to wheel with new people from all over the place - it is toadly cool

Kane Creek
Hey guys! Just watched the video! Awesome! Nice to meet most of you at the dinner too! I ran Kane Creek with a few of my buddies the day after you guys did. The ledges at the end of the trail are tougher than it looks! A stock 2 door JK was high centered a few times and I was able to strap him out. His wife was a nervous wreck the whole time.....
