I had a great time while it lasted. I'll post the pics I took as soon as I am able, because I have to resize them first. I even have a bit of video of redrubi and scotcarp going through that nasty stank-hole. I'm not sure how I'm gonna post that yet.
While I was waiting for the tow truck with my friend, so we could get his YJ home, a really cool local guy stopped by to see if he could help. He was curious if we were a club. I told him what we were up to and he gave me his name and # and I told him I'd give him a call when were were gonna get together again. He was driving a really nice 72 CJ. I showed him the pictures I took On my digital camera and just by looking at the photos he knew excatly where we were. He also said that there's a really REALLY nasty hole that you don't want to go through because the bottom is basicly shaped like a round soup bowl that you can't get out of once your in it, in a different location on that trail.
I think this guy could show us some really cool places over there and also what to avoid as well.
As for my buddy's YJ I think that his cam sensor is shot or his TPS, and he was really lucky that he was able to drive back to the town hall under the vehicles own power. I also gotta give him props for being able to keep it going on the trail as far as he did. Many other people when put in his position would not have gotten as far.
Well, Like I said before I had a great time while it lasted. It was nice meeting the folks I had't met before. Can't wait till next time.

RedRuby's buddy really wanted to try it, but none of us wanted to fish him out , so he just stuck his toes in. In the 2nd photo, his rear tire dropped about 4" instantly.
