Default Short Trip to Uwharrie Today (9-8-07)

We took a short trip to Uwharrie today from Charlotte, NC. I am in the silver JK. My other two friends are Jon in the IO Rubi with an OME lift and stock tires, and Sean in the red TJ with 10 bolt and 12 bolt, stock suspension and 35's.

So how did the jk do? I have only been to uwharrie once but I was driving a atv. I am waiting on jk to arrive and at some point want to take it up there. Man those rocks look jagged. Did you come down on any hard? I will have to get the map out again of the trails, but I remember Daniel was a "difficult", did you go on that trail?

Alright enough questions. Looks like good times!

Thanks for the comments guys:

seajk: The JK did great...I had no problems at all and all of those pics are from Daniel trail which is more difficult than most of the others. The rocks are definately jagged and we saw a tire pop on a land rover about half way up a really steep section of Daniel.

plumber: It was so dusty that I think it could rain for weeks and still be dry...maybe the rain is coming soon.

BLACKJacK: Thanks for the complement...this is my first time uploading photos from a trip so I'm glad to hear that they turned out well.

BTW: Are there trails that a stock JK can make it through?

Default Uwharrie Trip

Bahadden: It would be great to have more people out there. That being said, we will be out there this coming weekend and camping Friday and Saturday nights. Let me know if you want to meet up.

BlackJacK: The pictures are all from "Daniel" trail which is supposed to be the most difficult trail, with the exception of Kodiac, which is the huge rock garden that you might have seen in other peoples pics. So yes a stock JK can go on every trail at Uwharrie(there are bypasses for Kodiac).
