Default Sandstone Canyon Pics

Here are pics of my Thanksgiving camping trip. Went out to Ocotillo, and played around in the park a bit and went into Fish Creek and Sandstone Canyon. Lots of fun... And... best of all... EVERYONE broke something this trip... except for my Jeep!!!

My friends 4x4 Chevy broke a Tie rod
Same guy blew up his rear axle
Other buddy rolled his Toyota, and thrashed his steering - we had to pull all our our batteries out and join them together to weld his steering back together!!! Talk about a trail fix.

Enjoy the pics!

Thanks.

Yeah. we had a great time. I cant believe how uncrowded it was vs. last year over Thanksgiving.

No story Im afraid.. we were all ahead of him, and after waiting at a stop for him for a while decided to go back to make sure he hadnt broken something (since his steering was messed up). Drove up to find his tires in the air. He said he just fishtailed and caught an edge or something.. He must have been flying. First rollover experience for us. Good thing they were wearing seatbelts.. and that he had JUST FINISHED his cage.

Heres all the pics of the rollover:

Yeah, I see the empty Pacifico in the background. No wonder he rolled it.

HAHA. I wondered if anyone would notice that... I had actually thrown that in his bed about 2 minutes prior to him rolling it... So it wasnt his.

Default duct tape

Your friend didn't look too happy afterward...I hope he didn't mess it up too bad. By the way, I noticed every off-roader/camper's most important tool....duct tape in the crash photo. Was it of any use after the crash?

Thanks all.

No need to use duct tape. The truck itself faired pretty well.. Yeah it got some body damage.. but we wheeled for the complete rest of the day, and he didnt really have any problems at all.

Having an exocage makes all the difference. We rolled it over and just kept going.

His windshield wouldnt even have been smashed except his snorkel hit it.
