Default The Sand Highway...

So we took a detour to "wash" the mud off our jeep from Achy Breaky...

Here is how we did it:

Getting her wet...

a little wetter....

Woops... the top was off and now I'm all wet too... HAHA

Drip Dry in the surf...

Overlooking a large dune...

and the ominous presence of death....

Odd way to end our trip... that pig looks delicious...

Pretty cool pics - especially the potbelly (and dune pic!) - LOL.

I think I would have just washed the mud off at the carwash though... not with salt infused water.

I'm sure it will be fine though, here in the east we get salt infused water on our vehicles all winter long just from diriving on the normal roadways...

If that's pismo then that's quite a detour home. Looks fun!! Can't wait to get down to the dunes again.

Yes it is. It WAS quite the detour, as we had to drive 4 hours to get there...

We also played in the dunes a bit, but buttercup liked the water splashing more, as she could look for seashells and sand dollars.

The pig really DOES look delicious... lots of backfat on that one... mmmmm

Indeed... We went to the carwash afterwards and ran her through just to be safe... Although I think I broke my horn in the surf... it sounds like she is choking on a porkchop now... Does that happen much when you get the horn wet?

It looks like fun, but have you ever seen what salt water does to a jeep? Driving on the beach is one thing but in the water is another. Make sure you wash EVERYTHING underneath with fresh water (copious amount of fresh water) Salt water does not totaklly dry, the water evaporates and leaves the salt behind. It plays havoc with electrical and will accelerate the oxidation process (Rust)

( It does look like fun, though)

Good to hear...

As for the horn, mine has always sucked. I can't figure out if it doesn't like the water it gets offroad or if it just doesn't like me slamming on it so much at all the idiot drivers here in PA...
