Mountainside ORV Park in Alabama
Meet up with a few Georgia guys and did a some wheeling at Mountainside. Had an absolutely great time mostly because, as a bonus, we were able to ride in an area normally closed to the general public . . . thus the great overlook shots. Enjoyed meeting Ben (JKBenB) and friends, along with re-establishing acquaintance with JK-forum area leader Corey (08{GA}RUBICON) and Mike (TINMAN_2469). Here's a few pics from the trip.
Corey on rocks.
ARB and AEV bumpers - I need to mount my IPF lights.
Mike wheeling.
Assaulting a rock climb way over my head (literally and figuratively).
Overlook on top and facing East towards GA.
Note Weiss Lake in the background.
Mike goofing around.
Ben hits Flashover.
Ben conquers Flashover.
Corey hamming it up.
Ben is behind that wall of water.
Stuck but happy.
Still stuck and sinking a little.
The puddle aftermath.
Gary climbing Slippery When Wet - felt pretty good about this one as a lot of other seriously built vehicles had difficulty getting over the initial ledge.
Corey prepares to give Slippery When Wet a try.
This guy was doing some mean rock crawling in a very expensive rig.

Thanks Ryan - we'd love to meet up with you (watch the Huntsville thread, or The South area thread). Here's a couple more pics I posted in the Huntsville thread ---> https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...postcount=2432.

I had a blast out there! Learned a lot too, especially about how deceptive some puddles can be about their depths, haha.
My pics are on facebook, and I borrowed a few of Gary's and Mike's to illustrate the puddle incident since I didn't have my camera out during. Hope ya'll don't mind that, but if you do, just lemme know and I'll pull 'em from the album.
Here they are, though!

Ok guys...I'm a little jealous that the weekend you all decide to ride Mountainside is the ONE FREAKIN' SATURDAY the entire year that I had to work. We all need to link up again in the future and hopefully get a larger crowd together.

Mountainside
These were in another thread, but decided to just put them all here in one place.
We're parked at the bottom of some Level 4 rock climbs.
Starting up one of them.
It's getting steep, and I'm running out of traction.
On top of the mountain.
View facing East towards Georgia.
Rear view mirror shot - Corey had the idea first.
