Burro Wash - 11/15/09
Ran a group of 12 rigs down Burro Wash to the Colorado River. They were mostly JK's but also included Roger in his infamous Dodge Ram 1500. Also joining us was recently relocated Roger from the NorCal group. All in all the weather was great and few of us played in the mud and tried climbing an impossible obstacle.
Airing down south of Boulder City
Looking west at the McCullough Mountains and the Eldorado Valley.
Looking southeast at Black Canyon. The Colorado River is at the bottom. US 93 on the Arizona side can be seen cutting through the landscape.
Roger tests his flex on a rock.
Roger doing what not many do with their Dodge Ram 1500s.
Justin takes a dip.
Roger plays in the mud.
Roger also plays in the mud.
Where Burro Wash meets the Colorado River. This area is under water during the summer months as they control the water flowing out of Hoover Dam.
Attempting the impossible obstacle. Word has it that even buggy's won't go through here.
It's harder than it looks.
Roger tries finding another way.
Spectators watch Roger's daring climb.
Roger decides to try the other way.
After a valiant effort Roger finally decides to pass.
Perhaps the longer wheelbase might help but in the end it didn't.
The obstacles that others thought may have been passable on the right.
Justin goes through the V-crack that Roger just bounced off his side on.
Roger's flare indented the body. It's hardly noticeable.
Airing up after a great run.
