Default your towing experience...

well I just wan tot know what all your guys/gals have for towing experiences with your JK. how did/dose it do ? how big was the trailer ? how much dose the trailer weigh ? and any other input on the subject you got would be cool..

anyway I did'nt buy my jeep to tow anything but I just bought a " tent trailer " and will be picking it up at the end of the month and taking it when I go run Sierra Trek, so I was just wondering what your experiences towing were....

oh yea the trailer I bought is a Jumping Jack Tent Trailer. jumpingjacktrailers.com

I pull a lightweight travel trailer and my JK Rubi tows great. I had a break controller installed at the RV store and I think the JK handles this thing great. Very happy with this setup...
18' Startcraft TravelStar travel trailer (2700lb dry, electronic brakes)

I pull a 18' ski boat. Probably about 2500-3000 lbs. I'm really not sure how slow it is because I take it real easy on the gas and brake when I'm towing, anyway. I would say that except for when I go over bumps, I don't even know its back there!

EDIT: Also wanted to mention that so far I have had no problem pulling the boat out of thw water, either. Haven't even had to use 4wd. Also, I do have a 4-door.

This is good stuff because I'm in the market for a utility trailer right now.

I'm intrigued at the tent trailers. I was worried that the 10x10 trailer was the max i could go, but apparently that is not the case.

The ones I'm looking at now are:
Redtrailer
Pulmor
Paw Print
SpecOps

I just added the Jumping Jack to my list.

Any other suggestions/ideas?

As always, thanks!

I tug a 6x10 utility trailer. I uses it to haul my ATV and riding lawn mower.
My jeep pulls well, Its just slower than I like.
By the way, I have an auto trany if that makes any difference.

Tows my M416 very nicely, almost as if it isn't there. Well, except for hills.

hey thanks for your inputs...

it sounds like I'll be right where I figured, ok but slow. heck with the weight of some of your trailers I might even be able to throw a quad or two on top of my trailer and still be "ok".....
